Greetings and welcome to my blog. I am an American citizen who recently returned to live in my home country after being overseas in Australia for the past 16 years. America is quite an insular country in many ways, and living outside of it gives you a fresh and insightful perspective.
I have been here less than 2 weeks and although I knew it was true, I was still unprepared for the LOUDNESS. In America, everything is loud, everyone is loud- all rise to the challenge of making sure they are heard. Everyone on TV yells, everyone on the radio yells. I can see that I need to be majorly de-sensitised, which should only take another few weeks, then I'll probably be yelling with the rest of them. Perfect.
